Washington, D.C.

We had been hoping for an opportunity to take the boys to the D.C., so when Chuck learned that he would be going in March on a business trip, we decided to hop on board and make a weekend of it together. It was perfect - the weather was great, the boys were such troupers - walking miles around the city from morning until night, and we were able to cram about a weeks worth into just 3 days. Our Schedule:





Day 1: Tour of the white house, tour of the capital, lunch at Union Station, Twilight Tour


Day 2: National Archives, National Museums of Art (both the classic and abstract), American History Museum, Natural History Museum, Air and Space Museum


Day 3: Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Arlington, and the tomb of the unknown soldier.

Could have stayed here for days - I would have been alone, though. No kindred spirit for me amongst my boys. An hour long art lecture on French Impressionism - who doesn't like that?!!
