"Basketball, Baskeball . . ."

It seems as if the start of a new year from now on in the Warbington household is going to be synonomous with setting goals - and i'm not just talking New Year's resolutions. Our boys began their third season of basketball, and are officially hooked! I realize that I am a bit biased, but I have to admit that they are both pretty good ball handlers. Will looked especially strong this year, and we were so pleased at the effort he showed on the court. He played his heart out in every game and was the leading scorer for his team. I would get so tickled at him biting his nails from the bench and begging to be put back in the game. Will's team gradually improved throughout the season and ended up in 2nd place overall, almost ousting the Powerhouse Peevy team!

Wesley is sharp 0n the court. He amazes us at his instincts and quickness. He just seems to always know where the ball is going to land and is there to pick it up. That is, when he's not stealing it from someone. Wesley is simply incapable of giving less than 150% effort. He is exhausted after every game, and he loves every minute of it.

His signature move for this year was his lay-up!

Wesley's team was undefeated in the regular season and wound up in 2nd place in the tournaments. Of course, Chuck would probably argue that the coaching had a little to do with it. It was very special for Chuck to get to coach both teams this year. Now, I realize that I am probably a little biased, but I have to say that I was just as proud of him as I was of the boys.

Like Father, Like Son . . .

Needless to say, we are all looking forward to many more seasons of basketball

in the coming years.
