BASH!!! 2011

Summer ended too quickly for us, and before we knew it it was time to gear up for another school year. True to tradition, we hung our back to school banner, bought the cookie cake, prepared to artillary (to Nerf gun Graham for his transition to Middle School) and dusted off the microphone to hold our annual

BACK TO SCHOOL BASH.

This tradition dates back to 2001 when Wesley started preschool for the first time. Back then, it was just Daddy, Mommy, Wesley and "little Will" who was quite little at the time and has no recollection of the event. Now, 10 years later, our tradition has grown and this year the Spains even joined in the celebration.

Notice the social dynamic here: The 3 oldest are over to the side acting disinterested, but discussing none the less how they could run through the banner and stilll maintain an air of coolness. The middle boys are circled up at the back of the line scheming something, and the girls and younger boys are all lined up in order, sitting still - just eager to make their run through.

YEA, TY!!!

Now, here comes the weepy part . . . the first day.

Oh, my . . . I can't stand it, I can't stand it.

This makes me happy.
